O.H.I.O. is a governmental, social-cultural, and non-religious organization providing non-profit services that promote Nigerian culture and heritage. We established our firm with the mission of creating unity among the Oodua children worldwide. Our professional team of experts is here to provide a platform for helping our people.
Our Goals
- To PROPAGATE the Oodua ethical culture, language, lineage-praises, and value-system and be an award-winning cultural trust, providing exemplary public engagement with the Yoruba culture
- To EMPOWER other people and charities through Oodua heritage incorporation projects and programs that will transform people’s mental attitude for distinction, encouragement, and promotion of peace among the Yoruba nation
- To CREATE vibrancy, safeguard our heritage, and promote the national and international importance of Oodua (Yoruba) cultural heritage
- To PROMOTE the rich culture, tradition, and heritage of the Oodua nation through various awareness programs, documentation, and archiving
- To PROJECT profitable and sustainable Yoruba science, technology, commerce, and industry through economic activities to impact the community at home and abroad for the eradication of poverty
- To PROPAGATE our cultural value using traditional dresses as a boost
- To EXPOSE the rich culture, tradition, and heritage of the Yoruba people (South West) for a common cause throughout the diaspora worldwide
- To SHOWCASE our local fabrics abroad to attract international investors to our local products
- To CREATE an avenue for interaction between Nigerians in the homeland and diaspora for better cultural value
- To ENGAGE/EMPOWER our youths by providing them tools/instruments to become self-reliant
- To CARRY OUT the Oodua Heritage Festival every year and project Yoruba culture as the best through the establishment of the Yoruba Heritage Center
- To ESTABLISH the Oodua Heritage Scholarship Award for the benefit of all qualified Yoruba youths worldwide
- To BUILD Oodua houses in diasporas so that the Yoruba race can come together for unity and for all Oodua children both at home and in diasporas to come up with a constructive talk on unity and progress of the Yoruba nation
- To LEAD and especially be a leading organization at home and in diaspora among the several existing Oodua forums created worldwide to prepare our children to be a voice dictating the pace in the home government of South West Nigeria
